can anyone help me with backing up ray im using shrink and dvd decrypter it errors when encoding

Welcome to the forum. Use the newest version of DVDFAB Decrypter to rip to HD and then use Shrink. If you have it AnyDVD along w/ Shrink will do the movie. W/ the new encryptions you might also consider using VobBlanker after DVDFAB Decrypter to correct any of the structural errors. A guide is below and you can substitute Shrink for Recode:

In addition to the aforementioned suggestion, I think the newest AnyDVD would help with those older programs (which I still use but use it in conjunction with AnyDVD).

when you are doing the movie ray ,are you doing a reauther? there are two versions of the movie on the disk make sure that you pick the smaller size movie when you reauther, the larger sizes movie is the extended version, and what happends is that a lot of dvd players lock up or freeze when playing the extended version,i did the movie with shrink and dvd region + css free running in the backround, also if the disk has any marks or scratches you might want to clean the disk

Just for the record, mine didn't freeze when I copied the extended version.

But if that's the case, then plan accordingly.
