hi there

i hav my psp jap version 1.52 but i'll upgrade into 2.0 thats is good or bad?

i'll download the psp games like prince of persia revelations jap and NFS moswanted US. but i dont now how to install dis game. can anyone to help my problem, i'll try to open the folder that i have download there are 2 files found the PSP_GAME folder and UMD_DATA.BIN
how can i install this? i have my fastloader v 5. pls help me

you need to upgrade to 2.0 then downgrade to 1.5

to upgarade to 2.0 http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/5
put that in your psp/game/update folder if there isnt one you create it. Run the update, make sure your psp is plugged into the charger. Do not remove the charger at anytime, Do not remove the battery, Don't do anything but press X

To downgrade from 2.0 here is what you do.
You are going to need this file

1. Take the h.dat and the index file and put them in your root folder(next to psp and umdemulator)
2. Take overflow.tiff and put it in your PSP/Photo Menu.
3. Make a new folder in your PSP/GAME CALLED UPDATE. Put the 1.5 upgrade in there.
4. Go to your photo menu, and press down. You should see a black screen with white letters. If not turn your psp off and try again. do not downgrade til you see the black screen with the white letters, this is a very important step
5.After you see the black screen with the white letters wait 30 seconds turn you psp off and turn it on again, Go to the game menu through your PSP and click the 1.5 update. make sure your psp is plugged into the charger. Do not remove the charger at anytime, Do not remove the battery, Don't do anything but press X to start the downgrade
Your psp is going to get to 99% and say that the update failed. This is perfectly normal. Wait 30 seconds after this happened and turn your psp off.
6. Turn your psp back on its going to say an error happened. This is normal as well. Just rebuild your psp like it instructs you to do.
7. You now have a 1.5 psp

now once you have done that get fastloader .7 and umdemulator .8c
all you need to do is take the iso and put it in the iso folder of your root folder

Fastloader 0.5 is old try Fastloader0.7 or UMD emulator which is (fastloader 0.8)

1. what else there is a blackout or brownout then im not yet to downgrade. there is any possible to brick my psp?

2. I cannot find the iso of the game the folder where did find the iso?

where did i put this two folder? especially the PSP_GAMES there are lot of folders inside.

Charge your psp first then you wont need to have the ac adaptor in thus even a blackout wont brick your psp only if you take out the battery or the memory card

same kinda question, if you have the PSP_GAME folder and UMD_data.bin then youve extracted the ISO one step too far
Those folders were in the ISO and you should have left it as the file it was before. It will show up as extractable in WinRAR but thats the ISO. If youve already deleted it then you could put the PSP_GAME and UMD_DATA.bin back together with UMDGEN

Downgrade to 1.5?, You could try the umdrun program

it supposedly allows 2.0 umds to run on 1.5 or if that doesnt work youll have to rip your umd into and iso

5. Why is important to downgrade?
its not important you wont die if you dont, its only if you want the full homebrew capabilities eg 99.9% of homebrew work on 1.5 including the backup isos

You need to have it like this

That is why, in your ISOMISC you cant have the png file
it needs to be a bmp image, it can be 480X272, use the original fastloader one till you get it working then you can make your own.

Actually you can delete that bmp file, fastloader just wont have a backround. I have done this and can verify fastloader works with out it, its just the screen is black

i downloaded NBA 2k5 but ders is no umd.data
what can i do?


my psp still 2.0 coz im not downgrade yet. the game still work to 2.0?

na no iso's work on 2.0


To downgrade from 2.0 here is what you do.
You are going to need this file

my fastloader are not working if i start my psp and go to games the two icon are corrupted i think the two icon are the fastloader im my right?

ok i'll try to downgrade now! it is ok my original psp jap is 1.52 then i'll upgrade into 2.0 so now i need to downgrade again? are you sure my psp work like normal. how about my GTA liberty city that i bought from the store still work, if not im better to stay to 2.0 bcoz i bought it on my own money. for better there are any video to seen the downgrade?

GTA UMD only works on 2.0+
however when you downgrade you'll still be able to play gta if you get a back-up

You can still play GTA with a UMD, just use UMD RUN.

dude, upgrade to 2.0 then downgrade to 1.5.
if you dont unplug anything or turn off the power til you're supposed to you will be fine.

That should be fine, just make sure u dont pull out the ac adaptor, umd disc/memory stick and dont turn it off while its downgrading, just watch t.v for 1 or 2 mins until it says update failed contact sony blah blah..
