A History of Violence audio out of sync...
Did a search for a thread relating to this problem, seen mention of it... but couldn't find the actual thread.
Problem: The audio is about 2 seconds ahead of the video. Trying to get this on my psp or ipod video.
I typically use DVD Decrypter then PSPVideo9 and that usually works great, but not this time.
Tried DVD Clone Mobile - no luck.
DVD Shrink - no luck.
Trying it with Intervideo's DVDCopy4... we'll see.
Curious if anyone had this problem, remembers it?
A step by step or guide would be greatly appreciated!
Thanx,
Bord@Work

ive had this problem. u should use vemode for psp or 3gp converter. whenever i use vemode(i forgot the whole name of it), it works out perfectly and lets u edit the length of the movie. it also reduces the size somehow.

VEMoDe worked and got rid of the sync issue... unfortunately MPEG4 video quality on my computer is pretty bad, pixelation, choppiness, some blur at times, especially if I fast forward.
Do you adjust the "Video Bit Rate"?
How about the "Encode By Size"?
-----
Check that... it looks decent on the small playback window on the bottom left on iTunes and the iPod screen... when I enlarged it however, it looked bad.

Two pass encode on pspvid9 didn't work - same audio/video sync issues... vemode is the only thing I've seen thus far that addressed this problem, but the vid quality was really bad... will try adjusting the resolution when I have a bit more time.

@Sudds,
Everything seemed fine until I tried to run it thru a psp/ipod converter... DVDClone Mobile gave me an error message saying there was a missing file 8% in (IFO I think)... gonna try it all over again w/ a different converter (pspvid9, videora).

"Chicken Little" (Disney computer animated) and "A History of Violence" (Viggo Mortensen)...
*Keep in mind I'm trying to convert these either to a iPod or PSP, other people seem to have gotten them to work as disc to disc burns.
Good Luck Sudds, can't wait to see what you find out.

Rite mate here goes, rip ur dvd with DVD FAB DECRYPTER, download VOB BLANKER, http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/voblan... Bring up blanker and browse for the VIDEO_TS folder that u made with DVD FAB, create another VIDEO_TS folder for your output from blanker, then click process.
When thats done, open ur new VIDEO_TS folder with DVD Shrink and REAUTHOR and extract the main title to the left hand side, make sure file splitting is unchecked then hit backup.
Sit down relax ave a mug of tae an a kit kat!
When thats finshed u should end up with 5 or 6 files, only one is good to ya and its about 4gigs say, rename it to that of the DVD and convert it with PSPvideo9, follow this guide: http://72.21.43.146/~raven/forums/viewtopic.php?t=75&sid=186a1b40... Let me know how u get on! ;)

I just bought the DvD, Fun with Dick and Jane, so I decided to make a back up because I have a little brother and a mother who doesn't know how take care of CDs. Sometimes I have to make a back-up of the back-up. Anyway, I put Fun with Dick and Jane on my PC and burned it to DvD but it didn't have any sound. So I played it on some of the media players I have on my computer. For some reason it worked on my VLC media player, but not my DivX player, the audio I mean. Can someone tell me what's wrong?
