I have been using DVD Shrink and Nero to back up movies for some time now, with the occasional need for AnyDVD, but this time I've hit a brick wall.
I'm trying to make a backup of 24, Season 4. I'm just starting with disc one and I'm having a major issue. Everything backs up just fine via Shrink, but when I go to burn it in Nero, the drive starts spinning and it seems to start writing, but then immediately stops, and says it cannot finish due to errors. It doesn't list anything specific though.
I thought maybe it was the new discs I switched to (which I had used once before without problem), but I decided to try another movie just to test. It burned just fine. I tried converting the ISO to .NRG using diskwriter, and that proved no help.
I then decided to give CloneDVD a try, and the results were the same. Popped up an error saying to 'try a different engine, or to rip an iso and burn it using OEM software', after spinning the disc at varying speeds for a minute or two.
I have never encountered a problem such as this before, and am thoroughly stumped.
