I just had my V12 slimlin modded about 2m days ago it was working perfect for a while then it wouldnt read any dics at all including orginals or back ups Im not using cheap media using TY at 4x then i hours later it started working again then it stopped working again not its not reading anythng at all anybody have any suggestions on what might be wrong with it ?????????

i have this problem. some overheating issue. i get bsod 10mins after i power it up.

could be a heat issue for sure.
Also i hope that you had them install a laser fix too, or you may have a bigger problem than heat.
or even a loose wire on the chip install. It is difficult to tell.
I would go back to the place you got it nd have them fix it. If they are any good they will stand behind their work.

i will do that they said they did install the neo laser fix i dont think its a over heating problem because its happend even before anybody tried to play the game so i dont know that it can be a heating prob but i will go take it and get back to you just in case they cannot fix it who are some good playstation 2 repair sites ???

Just so you realize this, the laser fixes do nothing to prevent the laser from wearing out under normal use. Sometimes people get the impression that the laser fixes some how help in this regard, this is incorrect. The laser fixes are a preventive measure that is taken to insure that if the laser driver chip crashes the laser wont fry its self.

Sounds to me like you just have a worn out laser that either needs adjusting or replacing. Your installer should be able to help out in this regard.
