is there a way to use ToxicOS without a DMS chip?

I downloaded the latest ver. ToxicOS(DMS4 Upgrade) for PS2 and want to know if i can use it w/out a DMS4 chip. Like can I run it from ps2 menu? I have a MagicV chip in my V7 PS2.
