after trying to join tow avi files that had different bit rates i followed instruction son forums which told me how to fix this problem .

1) Open the 1st AVI with VirtualDub. Set Audio__Full processing mode. File___Save WAV.
2) Run HeadAC3he. Load that WAV. Choose as destination format: MP3. Click [options] twice and select 'Alt CBR'

Here do this instead...

Set first AVI to audio "full processing mode" and video "direct stream copy". Save as new file.
Do the same for the second file.
Join as usual. :)
