Hello,

Got a 160 Gb hd for the ps2 2day, i used Windows HDL program to format with no problems. But when i transfer ISO's, its happened at a ridiculously slow rate, 1.95Mb/S!!! The PS2 Hd is on a secondary ide channel, and my other hd's are on SATA and primary IDE, whether i transfer from IDE or SATA to the PS2 drive, it makes little difference in speed. Also, after i took 45 putting on fight night round 3, it doesn't work!! first, the screen just went black, then i adjusted settings on HDloader, and it froze at the loading screen. Any help from you guys wud be much appreciated. Thank YOU!!!

1) Can't you transfer your games via the HDloader software and the PS2.

2) If I need to, I connect my PS2 HDD via a USB2.0 to IDE adaptor cable and a seperate power supply for the HDD. transfer is about 15 mbps I think (about 4 mins) Or you could by a USB HDD enclosure and stick it in there. This way you won't need to change jumper setting on the ps2 HDD or risk spiking your M/board with static by messing inside your tower each time.

PC Specs: CPU-C2D E8400, M/B-P5N-E SLI, RAM 4Gig OCZ Platinum rev2 ,VGA- Nvidia 8800GT 512MB, HDD- Hitachi Deskstar SATAII 1TB, 250Gig Maxtor IDE HDD.
Corsair HX520 PSU, Liteon Lightscribe DVD Writer, Pioneer BluRay drive.

yeh i can do it through HD loader, but with the amount of games i intend to transfer. I've ordered a usb to IDE adapter, fingers crossed lol so you find that you have issues with games to work on your HDD? I'm having trouble with fight night 3, the only game i got on the HDD at present lol

Not every game is compatible with the HDD software no matter what modes you set. Never tried the game that troubling you.

I have HD Advance 2.0 and on setting 3 it played perfectly after a straight convert to the HD. I only got the black screen first time I tried it which was on setting one. I'm not sure how much help this is.... I can only say good luck, I'm loving the game and I'm having fun getting my boyfriend into it :)

Hey y'all, thank you very much for your help, finally solved it by getting a USB to IDE adapter, much faster now 20.2 Mbs, and no hassle with opening up the pc case and stuff....you know when u say setting three, is that in the winhiip when your about to copy the image it has the modes?

Yes, you can also set modes from within the loader menu screen by highlighting the game and pressing select.
