Hi, I am new to the PS2 modding scene and I wanted to know which modchip should I get? I want to play games off the Hard Disk most games, and I play some online games. I also wanted to konw if modchips and modifyed consoles are legal in my area I live in Santa Clara, Califorina.

if online play is somthing you like to do get the crystal chip .. alot of dms fan boys will tell you to get that for the hdd but it can be used with most chips . crystal is the only chip that will let you play backups online wothout altering the game .

I only play about 1-2 online games and I ussally buy them when I do. Is it legal to have a chipped PS2 where I live?

Only 1 or 2 PS2 games for online play and Crystal Chip 1.1 seems to be more for online gamers while I am mostly an RPG fan.

DMS4 Pro SE or Matrix Infinity would be most people's top 2 picks.
Yes he does installs, i have seen pictures and his work looks very clean. Just click on his name and it will take you to some install pictures.

I would like to play most of my games from a hard disk, in your install pics I see some DMS4 Pro's can you install one for me also? If so how much would it cost me.
