Boot DVD 9 games yet off HDD?

Been out of the loop for about 6 months and am wondering is there a way to boot any DVD 9 games with HD Advance or Exploited HD Loader/Advance(prefered)? I heard something about HD Advance 3.0 is suppose to but is it true?

HDadvance 3.0 will boot your DVDp games,BUT..... it will not load them to HDD via the PS2.
You will need to rip to your P.C (DVD decrypter)and use Winhiip or hdl_dump to transfer the iso file to your PS2 hdd.
Its quite simple though, especially if you use a HDD enclosure or I use a USB to IDE adaptor cable which has a seperate power supply for the HDD.
This way means you don't have to stuff your PS2 HDD into your tower and change the jumpers to slave etc. (or risk spiking your M/board with static)

Yes, get a DMS4 Pro mod chip which can pay DVD9 games either from a DVD9 back up disc or from the HDD

Yes, there has been a patched hdloader that supports dvd9 games just fine and its been out for a while :)

You can get it from http://www.exploitstation.com/ in elf format

Of course you'll need some boot method (swap magic etc) to install it.

edit: am pretty sure you can get it in iso format from http://www.alucard.cc/ i cant really confirm that am getting problems logging in :(

I guess I am missing something. HDL 0.7C is the patched one or is the patch you speak of a patch for HDL 0.7c?

{EDIT} I read that when booting HDL before loading a DVD-9 image/iso you should enable "Kill HDLoader on startup" You access this option after you are in the HDLoader screen press select. I did this and the same issue occurs when I try to boot God of War (this is a 1:1 ISO of the oringal DVD-9) to a save that I have on the 2nd Layer is freezes on Loading... screen :(

I've tested HD Loader 0.7c/Toxic OS/HD Advance 3.0 and all will play God Of War in it's entirety from the HD in full DVD-9 ISO.

The new HDextreme has the HDAdvance 3.0 and the USB Extreme software. It allows for running of DVD-9 ISOs and killing the HD on startup. It also allows you to run games directly from an external USB attached HD/HD enclosure. I got mine at http://revolution-sales.com
