Hey, i have a netgear router, and for things like getting on the internet with psp and playing games i havent been able to in the past (Xlink) w/o port fowarding. what i could do was go into the lobby but be rejected when trying to play a game which is exactly what is happening now. also, when i went to a friends house who has a linksys router, i could play fine. so, i have come to the conclusion i probably need to port foward. does anybody know the port numbers for psp?
thanks,
Vin

i am confused, you cant connect to internet?

Yes you might have to enter the mac address into the router sometimes.

xlink kai is very hard to configure, better men than you have tried. i know about 80 guys who have PSPs, about 60 of them have wireless routers and 2 of them have linked up to kai. about 40 of those have linked up to XBOXConnect so might i suggest that you try XBC aswell. also even if you get the confirguration right you might not have a compatible wireless card.

also with kai, you dont connect to the router, you connect to a wireless adapter. one hint to see if the adapter is compatible, grab your psp and host a game wirelessly, then get the wireless adapter and put it in ad-hoc mode. connect the psp to the wireless adapter and look at the packets received in windows. if you dont get any packets received then your wireless card isnt compatible.

well for one thing NFS rivals doesnt have infrastructure so you cant play dat on the net even if u did port forward correctly. im nt sure about MLB but i think their website may give out ports which would need to be opened up for the game to work.
