Hi,
I have been having problems with burning lately please help me someone? I have the latest version of Nero 7

What exactly are you doing? Are you ripping or burning? @Car.Mike and @John123 + several other have addressed mostly every possible fix for this in several threads. Seems this issue is popping up alot lately.

Welcome to the forum. Below are the errors in your log:

You need to free up some ersources. Cut off internet, Turn off Antivirus,Firewall, screensaver. You barely have enough to do just minor things.

Set the burn target size to custom-4350

The burner does not recog the Mid Code on the blank media you are using. I looked for the firmware and "The Firmware Page" is down at the moment. What is the blank media you are using? I also picked up on a thread that this was a old rebadged Nec 1100. How old is this burner? You also get this error 2X's

Hi Car.Mike,
first of all thank you so much for your time, effort and kindness. I have tried out different types of Blank Media: FUJIFILM DVD+R, TDK DVD+R.
The Philips DVDRW416N is approx 2 years old now at least thats about as long as I own it. In various forums I have read that there seem to be many probs with it and I have not even been able to find a driver for it other than the driver Windows XP has installed automatically. ABout a week ago everything was working fine and all of a sudden I just kept on getting on going error messages while burning. I even tried to restore my system to the state it was in one and a half weeks ago but it did not manage to solve the issue. Am actually slowly starting to think I should buy a new DVD burner. Could you advise me on a good one which you know has good support and functions well?

I think the problem could be fixed w/ a firmware update as it just is not recog the new blank media. That said:

DVD burner and not necessary in this order:

Pioneer
Benq
NEC
Plextor
Lite-On- Not a big fan of this brand as there have been more problems recently on other forums.

I am sure I forgot some but try a get a 16X Dual Layer burner that burns both (-) and (+) DVD's. If you find one come back and tell us which one you are thinking about. I should take you no more than 15 minutes to install it or you can pay a shop to do it
