P.S. Excuse my repetitive typing...

dial up is abit slow i think,
You have to either have your psp wirlessly connected to your pc
or
you could install xlink onto the router and cut out the comp connection.
However with your dial up it is not suggested you use xlink,

Why? How slow will it be? I assumed it would not lag because it is a small console with low specs....unlike xbox or something...
P.S. Can someone please try to do this...I would but I do not have a router...I am only going to buy one if it will not lag or if it will lag ever so slightly....

When I use bitcomet, I cannot use the internet, I can either download or surf....this is getting very annoying, will my problem be solved if I surf on the psp and download on the pc?
P.S. How do I know if the router I am buying will work with the purpose that I have in mind?! (surfing the net with dial-up)

.........Its like this, u need a broadband connection as its much faster
and more *suitable* to play online games, dial-up is way to slow to use.
Its got nothing to do with the PSP its the speed of ur line.

well, I still want to use my dial-up to surf the internet...so can use my d-link thing (http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.a...) to connect it or is it NECESSARY to have a router?
I am just asking some thing repeatedly to make sure because I do not want to spend my money for nothing...I am not rich or else I would have that 8 MB high speed internet instead of a little 56 k...

Yeah should work. I still suggest you get broadband with a wireless router. You have to think about the dialing up costs and the phone lines being busy, and if youve got an extra line for net then you could get rid of the line totally.
I am on broadband and its costing me just about the same as when i was on dial up.

Can I use this to share my internet to my psp's web browser and can I connect it directly to transfer files (I think so because in the description of the device it says it has ad-hoc...
Please tell me if everything that I have just mentioned will work with the device, I currently have...

Yes you should be able to use it, but if your really gonna take that route get the wifi max, its made for the psp so that way you can be pretty sure it will work.

What are you using the device for right now?
if you can connect other devices to it then yes.
Just go to your psp and scan for wireless network it should pick up a broadcast SSID
