Hi

Hope someone be able to help me out, I'm not too bright with programs and softwares.

Recently I've got my PS2 modded and bought a 160gb HDD for it I followed instructions to make a MC Exploit through this site http://users.tpg.com.au/adslgvfk/MC.html. Though after loading the Exploit the PS2 cannot read the Title.db. Can someone explain why this is. I used Final Fantasy IX to help make the Exploit CD.

I am pretty lost at the moment with how to store games onto my HDD. Do I need to make this Exploit in order for the PS2 to read my HDD?

There's a lot of tutorials but not sure which to follow and quite confusing. Can someone here give me pointers of where to start and what softwares I need.

Thank you for your help.

try google for independence compiler, i think the latest version is 4.1. Its a very easy to use step-by-step tool that lets you enter entries into TITLE.DB, choose your programs, and add dummy files.

What mod did you just get coz if you got a DMS4 then it has a built in hdloader and the exploit isnt needed. Or if its not DMS you could download a disc image of hdloader burn it, then load it up.

what chip did you get installed? if your chip supports Dev mode then use it rather then an exploit. also if your chip supports .elf's you can modify the .db file with launchelf's file browser by copy/paste it from the memory card to a USB device, modify it and then copy/paste it back to the MC.
