i've backed up my copy of socom 3 unto my ps2 hard drive but it wont start up...is thier a pach or something that needs to be added to it..
need help urgently..thx

actually......heres what happened to me.....i changed to mode 3 and then the game started and a thing said "checking memoy car slot 1" like it should......and then it says "Socom 3" and then it takes me back to the p0age where i can look at my memory card or choose the ps1 disc, which boots up hd loader 4 me.

so actually......mode 3 works but it will only get you to a certain part....you cant even play the game....so maybe4 there is something that i missed.....

It is not possible to play Socom 3 online at all if it is a backup. Unless you have the original, you cannot play, even with swap magic/modchip off/patched DNAS. Same goes for Socom II.
