If you have Nero use the Nero InfoTool it will tell you what your burner burns. Or if you have Decrypter then just open it and choose drive and capablities it will also tell you what your burner does. Or go here and plug in your writer.

@gramsie

Have you been booktyping those +Rs to DVD-ROMs? If you have, why would you want to go to -Rs?

At one time my computer WAS set to booktype. Somehow the setting got changed and for the life of me i cant change it back. I stated this in an earlier post about 3 weeks ago. Tried all the suggestions, but no luck. I really dont know how it got changed back, or truly how i changed it to begin with. It was over a year ago and I am so new at this i cant recall what I did. I was just wondering about the -R's because they are cheaper and more readily avaible in the printable media. RIght now I use verbs and TY's and am pleased for the most part. Although just had about 8 coasters from a new stack of verbs...but the rest are burning successfully! Thanks to all at AD for your help...
