hey guys.... just got me a psp with firmware 2.01...

i need some help... with getting files that i have downloaded to work?

can anyone help with the files that i need or direct me to the right place..

i have spent the last 6 hours reading a few sites like psp-hacks.com and so on that are on here...

but call me dumb i cannot work it out...

please help.... (they need to bring out PSP for DUMMIES!!!!)

you need to read that, you can run homebrew on 2.01 but not backup isos. Homebrew is emus like SNES, Genesis if you have any problems post in that thread

yeh, get a 2.0 and downgrade to 1.5, or a 1.51 or 1.52, upgrade to 2.0 then downgrade to 1.5

Sorry, you wont be bale to play backups man,
Theres no way to downgrade a psp already gone past 2.0
2.01+ can play homebrew but it needs a GTA umd that thread before will help you.

Homebrew is coded programs write by ppl not officially released.
Homebrew includes emulators these enable you to play the old classic games from super nintendo and megadrive/genesis. There are games written by ppl
for a list of working homebrew go here and see what you can run

cool thanks for the help... it turned out i have one psp at 2.01 and one at 2.00( which is now 1.5) going to take the other back and say that there is a problem.... lol

funny thing is i got them at teh same time last friday and also from the same place... lol strange how i got a 2.00 and 2.01
