Hello

My desktop wont even recognize these discs, however my Vaio T1XP plays these discs without a prob. I did some trial&error research and these discs seem to have some kind of copy protection. Is there anyway i could play these on my desktop aswell? patch or separate program or....... went to Microsloth W2k support but "surprisingly" no help.

Is it just a question of manufacturers defecting these discs trying to get more revenue or is there a known hardware/firmware glitch in the LG drive? google wasnt very helpful, just tried to sell me more DVDs.

Desktop is P3/700 512 200gig abit ST-6 spiced up with LG 4166B LightScribe DVDmultidrive

..yes i know it is ancient...
