Try and be patient! lol
Best Buy always has the sale that Doc mentioned. They also just started selling the 20 spindle for 40 (same deal).

Right now Best Buy has the FuJi DL's on sale. Are these good DL? I believe you get 15 for 30.00. I always use Verbs, but just wondering if anyone has experience with these and are they good for backups?

@moviedud
i would strongly suggest you stick with the Verb DLs, in MY opinion and the opinions of MANY MANY others, Verb DVD+R DLs are currently THE BEST DLs on the market~ :)
i've used the Fuji DLs when they first came out, they performed poorly compared to my Ridata Ritek DLs with the same media ID coding of RitekD01...suffice it to say, i've had a LOT of success with my Ridata Ritek DVD+R DLs, but the Fuji DLs with the same media ID coding proved to be less than good :)
also, bear in mind, SOME drives and their firmware do not like the RitekD01 discs very much, Benq drives for example MUCH prefer the Verbatims DL, i've made a few DL coasters using the RitekD01s on my benq1640 + 1650 drives, but on my Sony dru-710a (liteon rebadge) and my pioneer dvr-109 drives, i had no problems with RitekD01 dual layers~ :) i've also had success with the RitekD01 DLs on my older nec3520a...juss FYI~ it's mostly the Benqs that don't like RitekD01s, but overall, for the majority of drives out there, Verbatim, made in singapore DLs, have the highest success rate~

@daman
yes very much so, i don't even own a dual-layer drive that DOESN'T like the Verbatim DVD+R DLs~ :) they've worked flawlessly on every one of my burners...
i am PRETTY sure the RitekD01s will work with YOUR particular NEC model as well, but, why take the chance right? stick with the Verbs for less headaches

thanks doc for the info. Great help and I'll just watch for the verbs to go on sale at BB or supermediastore. I'll try the Ridata Riteks some time. Ihave both Sony 800ul and the Nec 3540a which both would do fine with the Riteks. Have a good one my friend.

Go with Verbs, stay with Verbs. Also, Sam's Club has three 10-packs of Verb DL for $59, regular price.
