DMS4 EZI can play burned yet still get online?

I had a PS2 with a DMS EZI solderless pro, but the PS2 dies. I found another PS2 same model..took the chip from the old and put it into the new one.

If I remember correctly to disable it, you hold SQUARE when powering on the PS2. When I do that now, I get the TOXICOS settings screen, where I can pick: default boot mode,PS2 video mode fix, and so on.

WTF? Any help?

UPDATE- I just noticed I can load some burned games, but at the same time I can load a regular PS2 game ESPN NFL2K5 for example, and I can go online to match people. WTF? before I would have to disable the chip to get online.

with Toxic flashed to the chip you have to hold L1 to disable the chip and your online problem was user error only, nothing to do with the chip, it works online with no problems.
