For some reason when I use DAX on big games like GTA and it loads when He walks, it slows down a bit then he can walk freely for another 3 secs. I think its because its compress or is it just me. Also happened with the beloved Prince of Persia Revalations. Also Need 4 Speed MW doesnt work on that it freezes.

yeh it is coz its compressed. it is slow coz it takes time to uncompress teh relevant area of the ISO. if this is happening to you on normal speed you will notice a big improvement if u choose 333mhz as the clock speed when loading the ISO but it would drain the battery quite a bit quicker.

actually you have another option, daxiso gives you options
better compression = slower game
and lesser compression = faster game.
sounds like u might want the lesser compression setting and your psp bus @ 266

Oh, I always thought the Slower Compression means lesser time to compress, not lesser time to load lol..

That what it should mean, compression time is time it takes to compress file? I am having same problem with one games, video is very slow and very choppy, but game as it self it is fine. I did set compression to maximum 9. I am just wondering what compression and other options people usually set?

I usualyy do it at 9, but for your case do it at 6 or 7 then try it, if still no diff then 333 it is for you!

I never saw the point of compressing them. I have done a few ISO's at level 9 and it only removes like 30-40MB, the most an ISO has ever shrunk is 103MB. It hardly seems worth it. It just causes mmore hassle than its worth.

Midnight club DUB edition was the one that I did and it is working fine except from video in game (cut scenes). It was 1.6 GB and with compression 9 and with selecting NC areas for video and audio.

I'm with you ggbarnum, I gave DAX a try but it never really compresses that much and it always affects performance. I'm a bit Runumd fan myself

Even though you don't compress it, the loader is worth keeping and using as it saves the settings for the ISO's you load which is a life saver

it depends on the game which you are compressing. i MAX compressed World Championship Rally and it shaved off 700MB!!!!!!!

It depends on what game mate, If its a game like PRo Evo that needs a 1 off loading just to start a match, then yes, it will run smooth, but if it needs to contantly load, then it will lag like GTA and Prince of Persia
