Miseriously my DVD Decrypter stopped working today despite no changes to the machine whatsoever. I kept get I/O Errors (CRC) and now I'm getting "failed to set Write parameters" errors. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it, but that didn't help. I attempt to burn the ISO with DVD Fab Gold, but that failed. I also tried to burn the ISO files with Nero and I get the following error:

Existing drivers:
File 'Drivers\atapi.sys': Ver=5.00.2195.6699, size=86672 bytes, created 6/19/2003 12:05:04 PM (Adapter driver for rec)

Registry Keys:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WinLogon\AllocateCDROMs : 0 (Security Option)

I am using the newest verison of Decrypter and Shrink (to create ISO files) and Nero 6.6.0.18. The firmware is the most up-to-date.

Can anyone tell me what is going on with the computer and how I might go about fixing the mess?!?!? Thank you!!!

Disc Manufacturer: UME01 -

Low quality media.Usually crap!!! I got that code on some very cheap Staple's Playos 8x,but I forgot the format.

Burn process failed at 8x (11,080 KB/s)

Try:
Slowing it down to 2.4x or 4x.

Get some quality media like verbatim/taiyo yuden/or japanese sony/fuji/maxell

You had the above error at least 5 times. There is a conflict between the computer and the burner

2. 3:11:30 PM #19 CDR -1024 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 1612
Communication failure

You are having communication problems between the devices.

The media saugmon suggested might Hopefully will clear it up as that erro can be caused by not reading the MID code properly.

If it does not then check out the burner and look at the cables and make sure they are seated into the burner and MOBO properly and securely

@amyh - pls keep the problem contained in this thread now. you've obviously not noticed but i've been closing some of your threads as you keep sprouting new threads instead of continuing with one thread; at the very least it annoys the ppl who are trying to help you get sorted and it makes me grumpy. i've closed this one here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/327058 where i'd asked you for a Nero log but at least the good ppl here are helping you out here now.

No more threads sprouting up please...
