Ok try downloading a different program file(TMPG) then do a complete reinstall. Its probably corrupt make sure you go into the programs and get rid of any remnants before a complete reinstall.

Try that and we'll talk again if still having issues........in the meantime dont sweat it, its nothing major.

OK, can you be a little more specific about your problem?? For instance, is your input file divx?? If so, TMPGEnc often crashes and closes on a corrupted frame or incorrect header while processing avi files!! Is it just one file that you have this problem with or all files you try?? If its just one file, then its probably th video stream of the avi. An idea if this is the case, would be to frameserve from VirtualDUB to TMPGEnc.

I can't tell exactly when it shuts down, since the log dissapears with it as well... all i know is that is shuts down near the end of the movie... about 4 - 5 % remaining... it has happened with about 4 of my movies... all of them are div3 low motion (i checked with g-spot)... i really don't know what other information u might need though.. maybe its something to do with the corrupted frame or incorrect header u meantioned... anyway to fix this? in the meantime i'll try reinstalling like Krusty mentioned

Try this site vcdhelp.com is loaded with pictographical tutorials on just about everything INCLUDING virtual dub.

You may also want to upgrade your tmpg I notice that a new version just rolled out"free to try" for 30 days. In which time there will be a crack (cough, cough) I mean patch....

There has to be something wrong, Have you tried on another puter? It could be something other then the program or the movie LIKE core OS file/s missing or deleted. So my advice is try on another machine as well.

Im inclined to believe your missing some windows files, YOU can always try a low-impact reinstall of Win XP I wouldnt recommend it if everything else is OK.

Besides I hate people who tell me to reinstall my OS? Egad now im doing it$%%%#
