Hi. I just shifted to UK for studies from dubai. When i was in dubai all my dvd backup gamems use to work. now when i came 2 uk, none of my new games work, the backups from dubai work. the problem is that after the ps2 black logo nothing comes up. it takes a while for the game to load up and once it loads up it lags like hell (games burned in UK). i have a modded ps2. i have magic V and the games all worked in dubai. in uk only the games from dubai and the orignals work. wat could be the problem. could it be that the blank dvd's hame some encryption codes. i use imation 8x DVD+R. I have used imation in dubai before and i have had no problem. or could it be a problem witht the chip or lens. please help. thankyou.

i have problems with imation DVD+R 8x.

it is very laggy if i burn them at 2.4x.

i solved it by burning at 4x or higher.

it still does not work. i have burned it at every speeed possible. is there another way out. does anyone know an shop in london which deals with Ps2 Modifications.

Imation are notorius for very bad burns. Read the - Games stuttering and skipping or just not booting up at all?
