I'm ashamed to say so since I'm a technician, but I'm actually having trouble installing the flip top on my fat ps2. I've installed it exactly how I'm aware I should be, but the disc just won't spin properly! It seems to have a hard time spinning, it stops after a while and gives up, and the tray has trouble opening but there's absolutely nothing blocking it! I had a bit of trouble when it was open, he ribbon cable connection the ps2 to the eject/reset buttons wasn't going back in properly but getting bunched up and whatnot, but I solved that problem, I don't think this is the prolem as the buttons respond fine and they're not getting caught at all as I can see inside because it's a clear case. I NEED HELP! VERY MUCH! AND FAST!!

loosen the case up some you probably tightened it to tight, also try setting the game inside the system with the lid open and see if it spins or not......

Hi
Just finished sorting out 2 fliptops for others, 1st of all I dont blame you for getting annoyed as most I come across have no instructions. ok I dont know weather you have a slim or fat but this should work for all. have you transfered the white mag disc over into the new fliptop? also if it came with a mixed bag of extras have you put in the bits that are needed (its a bit like doing a spot the difference to see which bits you need)for your version. ok so its these bits you need to look at, these have been made as quick and cheap as you like which means the "flash" "burr" or wot you want to call it is left on so you will need to carefully cut or file any sticky out bits down, your lid should then fit nicely "keep trying it" then the screws can be nipped up tight, but dont forget its only plastic so not to tight . Hope this helps if not you then others with similiar problems. whoops sorry just noticed it is a fat
