ok, i tried makign my first dvd- with mixed results! the source of my videos come from an analogue camcorder via a usb video express. the results seem fine on the computer.
my video editing software is powerdirector.- so neway, made the dvd- but when played it- the dvd seems to play alittle slower than it should? as if it is missing some frames?? and also, i cannot access the main menu once the dvd has started playing! any help would be appreciated!!!

I think your bottle neck may be your usb connection. You really need a firewire connection or it has to be USB 2.0 . Also the frame rate on video express needs to be set for NTSC=29.97 Pal=25.0.

Good Luck

What i meant was take a look at the settings on video express. I have never ran video express. Just thought maybe you should check your settings. But I can tell ya this I had a friend running new dell computer he was feeding his signal threw usb the audio laged 3 to 5 seconds behind the video. He had a DV camcorder but the computer did not have a firewire plug windblows media center OS and you would think dell would have added a firewire connection. Quote (the results seem fine on the computer) So are you saying when you play back the video file on computer the quality is good. If so the problem may lie in your authoring software or not enough computer power to process the information without it lagging. CPU and memory are a must when producing movies on PC. Memory 1gig min, CPU 2gig min 3gig recomended.

Good Luck
