Hello. I have been happily using both DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter for some time now, no problems. However, recently I built myself a new computer, and now I'm having a problem. Under "Select Backup Target", where I should select DVD Decrypter yadda yadda, it does not give me that choice. My only choices are "Create ISO Image File", and "Create DVD Files: Hard Disc Folder". And let me say that I have built a number of computers, so I know what I'm doing and the problem is not there, plus I used the DVD player and the DVD burner out of my old computer, and they both work fine in my new computer, so the problem does not lie there. I'm at a loss here, any help or suggestions would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hellnback,
Forgive me, but let me start with the obvious:
1)DVD decrypter must be installed on your system in order to showup in the save target as selection, if you need it, get it here;

http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/DVD_Decrypter/1011845169/1

2) Try uninstalling shrink, then reinstall.
I know you already have it, but you can get a fresh download here just incase something's up with your copy.

http://www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/

3) If you've got any OS skinning programs installed, disable them or uninstall them, they can hide some of shrink's backup options.

4)Try uninstalling the IDE channel the drive is on, reboot, allow the drive to be detected by the OS and reinstalled. After the process is complete, make sure the drive has DMA enabled for best performance.

Here's a guide if needed;

FYI:
You might also want to make sure that the burner's firmware is upto date, you can use this utility to check, it will display the model# and firmware version currently installed;
http://flashman.rpc1.org/Firmware/DVD-CD_firmware_detect.exe

Once the utility displays your model# and current firmware rev, you can go here to get an update if needed;
http://www.cdrinfo.com/Sections/Firmware/Home.aspx

When at the above site, just...
First select a drive-type... ...then a manufacturer... ..and finally a model.

Or get it here;
