Hey.
Posted a topic some time ago and have another question.
As stated in that post I bought a PSP 2.60. In the store where I bought it they have a PSP 1.52 - and I want that PSP. But this PSP is mounted in a "demo-wall" - an "arm" (black) is holding the PSP for people to try it out. The "PSP-demo-wall" looks like/is a wall made especially for the PSP - and thinks it is used in other stores to show-off the PSP.
Do any of you in this forum know if it is possible to unscrew this unit easily/to get it out of this holder?
I'm asking this because I want to swap this with the unit that I bought...
And; secondly: Have you all got a good reason for me; which I can tell the staff assistant why I want to trade in a "new" PSP 2.60 for a used 1.52? Would love to get some good inputs on this too...
Thanks in advance, love this forum and the people in here! :-)

yea sure. they'll believe you were just trying to swap it and not steal it. and if its a major retailer its not like they'll have cameras or anything.

sure , here is the method i like to use 1st u will need a fake moustache and a crobar , fake moustache for your disguise and a crobar to hack away at the thing holding the psp on the wall. now you gotta b quick , run in waving your arms in the air and smash away at the wall with it on (now by this time the alarm has proberly gone off) your now in jail.

Of course I'M NOT going to commite a crime, which I see it can look like when I read over the text that I wrote.
What I want is to swap the unit I bought with the older demo-version they have in the store. And I need the shop assistant to help med unscrew the PSP - and because of that I wonder if it is much work.
If it is much work they probably only say NO; and therefore I've also asked you wonderful people if you are able to come up with good reasons why I should be allowed to swap my unit for the older one...
Thanks in advance; and lastly; NO I will never ever commit a crime! Definetly not for a cheap PSP.

i don't see the other thread where you mentioned it, but like rl said try and keep your topic to one thread, don't smear it all around the forums lol.
anywho.. me personally, i don't see why a store wouldnt want to swap out an older display for your newer psp. so if u could get someone who wasnt psp savy and ask them, i don't see why they wouldnt say yea if you are giving them a newer psp to put on display

yeah but what you gonna say when they ask why the heck would you want to swap your new psp for an old one thats been touched by MANY people? bcoz they might think its fishy , i know i would even if i had no knowledge of the thing. well if u explain the firmware thing maybe they will b kind hearted and just give it u

if you clean it off with alcohol, it wont matter who touched it...
and i understand what you mean paul, but if he is giving them a newer looking one and its less worn down looking like a display will usually look then they shouldnt have a problem ya kno.

Thanks for all your answers! :-)
But; I'll think they need a good reason for letting me swap my unit...?
Someone mentioned to say that I've got a brother and the bills for internet "kills my mother". Unfortunately one always have broadband in my country if one is hooked up via WLAN....
Good reasons; I'll be so glad to hear ;-)

i would just be straight up about it. like i said it should matter none to them, they only use it for display anyway. and if you are willing to pay full price for a display you are helping them

Dude i can hardly see some daft shop assistant gonna know about the net but anyway what about your bro keeps going online to play games and its sticking all your net connections, say that youve told him to stop it and he just wont so you want the older one so that he cannot possibly. other than that i dono what to do.
Good luck with the answers
