OK,Guys,
I have been reading the forums ,and I am going to let you know what I need. My grandson called me and wanted to know if I could buy him a XBOX360,for his birthday.It was I who bought him his PS2,and games. Now I was looking around at the Xboxs,and see that there are (2) boxs of them. Can anyone tell me the differance in the (2) models,and what on is the best one to purches.Is there anything I should look for ,or ask for at the place I buy it from..Not knowing to much about the (360) I thought I would get A first hand view from the ones that know what they are talking about.Anything you can let me know, before I go to get one will be helpful. Do you think a brick/morter place,or on line would be best to get one...

Thanking You In Advance
Andy

hey, well what you want is an xbox 360 premium, its the more expensive one but its deffinatly worth it. with that you could aslo buy a nother controller (wireless is best) also get a play and charge kit.
you did not say anything about games, but in my opinion, i would say do not spend too much as there are better games to come, i would get, ghsot recon advanced warfighter, oblivion, tombraider and burnout revenge.

hope i was of any help.

@rabbity.
You didn`t say were is the best place to buy.When you buy the premium, what all do you get with it.I wrote down the games you told me to get, but what is a play and charge Kit.Don`t you have a charger in the premium kit or are they sold seperate?I read alot of fourms and the people were talking about a lot of different things.some about XBOX360 not up to par to the PS3 in movies and the way they work.Can you say that the XBOX360,is still the best way to go as far as you are concernd.
Thanking You in Advance
Andy

ok a lot to say here, lol, where to start.

ok well i live in london so i would not know where to buy one in america, but i hear best buy is poppular in america.

the premium has verything you need in it except for a play and charge kit whcih you will deffinatly need, it is used to charge your wireless controllers while still being able to play.

ok well when it comes to which console is better, i would say xbox 360, because, of the graphics card whcih is beter than the ps3 is using. xbox 360 has already got a online service up and running, with 2 million people on it. the xbox 360 will cost less as it will not have blue ray ( blue ray by no means will enhance gameplay or graphics), the games out for the xbox 360 are only a taster of what is to come.

overall i would have to say they are very even, but i prefer the xbox 360, b/c i have looked into future game releases and i feel i mad eth ecorrect choice when buying it. it also comes down to the type of games you like, if your grandson likes mainly shooting games then xbox 360 is the console for him, but if he likes rpg's like final fantasy then ps3 willbe the one for him, although saying that i mst say that microsoft are doing a very good job making games which they do not normally do well at, such as oblivion, which is an rpg, it has hours and i mean hours of play time, best game on the xbox 360 graphics wise and gameplay is also very good, ign.com made it game of the mounth. anyways all in all i would say go for xbox 360.

ok well as long as your grand son has broudband in his house then he can go on xbox live. all you need to do then is connect a cable from the modem to the xbox 360, or if he has a wireless router then get a wireless adapter for the xbox 360. then go to any well known game shop and ask for a 12 mounth subscripstion card, after buying that just go back to the xbox 360 and type in the code and thats it your oline for the rest of the year, good luck and let me know if you need any more help.
