PS2 Backups loading slow

Need help. Installed modchip(Mars II) and it boots my backups but it loads them really really slow. I know its not the media because i've tryed the same disc on my friends ps2 and it boots and loads fine. Ive tryed ajusting the cog wheel but no luck. It reads my originals just fine but not my backups. Can someone help me?

Have you maybe burned it too slow mate? i know your friends read it but ps2 are different , what speed did you burn it?

4x Used memorex brand. Its the only speed my burner gives me for the dvd's. (strange)

fixed problem. i burned a verbatim 16x dvd at the highest speed possible, in this case 12x and now it runs perfect. i dont know why, but it seems that some media likes to be burned fast. Weird.

Yea memorex was your problem these discs are CRAP they are rated as probably the worst media available.

yeah thought that would have been your prob ive had that prob with mine in some cases mines likes to b burned at 2x and sometimes 1x. lol when there done get your hands on some authentic TYG02's best media about for ps2 games and prob best media about for anything dvd players ect, the laser doesnt have a problem reading it

TYG02 media are fakes, fake Taiyo Yuden discs faked by INFOSMART in Hong Kong..

ive just got a 25 spindle pack of printable 8x Taiyo Yuden that read out at TYG02, they are made in Japan and even have the little code on the center of the disc that matches that of what people say real TY have. Ive had nothing but perfect working burns from these discs, with better results than Verbs. So there might be some TYG02 that are good.

Well, do a search on TYG02 and the results will show they are fake, your PS2 may well play them at least for a while, but you always take a risk on the laser when using bad media.

Sorry for reviving it, but I have a similar problem.
I have problems with the CG movies of my PS2 backups. The CG movies are freezing every 2-5 seconds for 10-20 seconds. But the game itself runs and loads very well.

It's your media. Read the - Games stuttering and skipping or just not booting up at all
