Picked up a 25 spindle pack at Circuit City. They had a huge display of -r, +r 25 and 50 spindle packs. I should have known better, but instead I grabbed a 25 pack of -r. I have had exactly 1 good burn out of 15. They have very rough edges, and are supposed to burn up to 8x. I tried to take a pic of a disc after a bad burn... it actually looks like the dye is running.It wasnt there before the burn. Package says Distributed in the U.S.by Orbyx Electronics. Made in Taiwan. I can probably say that I have never wasted 7 buxs so fast as I did on these.

i've burned over 200 nexxtech's and i've probably gotten one or two coasters and sometimes small glitches in the picture hardly noticable you get what you pay for.

they won't last long thereafter, if you had succussful burns. the dye will eventually become faded and the movies will have more and more problems.

yeah, at a Circuit City around here they have Verbatims and Fujifilms on sale. i would go check it out instead of buying that NexxTech shit.....EVERYTHING and i mean EVERYTHING at circuit city is Nexxtech lol! its insaneee!!!

when i origianlly bought my first dvd burner for my computer right before xmas nexxtech was the first brand of blank media i bought.ive burned hundreds of cd-r's and with all types of different brand names and i never had any problems regardless of the brand name.so i figured it would be the same with blank dvd's,well was i wrong.those nexxtech's are a complete nightmare.excessive coatsers,really bad pixilation,movie freezes,skips.bottom line,stay away from nexxtech.everybody who says yudens and verbatims are the best are absolutley right.go with tayo yuden,verbatim,sony(made in japan),or maxell.stay away from nexxtech,memorex,tdk,and any store brands.

I just wanted to add that I have been having trouble with dvd backups freezing and now I see why. I went to Circuit City intending to get Sony DVD-rs because I have always had great success making backups with them. I saw the deal for 50 Nexxtech dvd-rs for 10 bucks and bought them. I really wish I hadn't because they truely are junk. I just made cursed last night and was soooooo irritated because it was skipping all over the place about half way through the movie. I don't have the original any more at the moment either....pure junk I tell ya. Thanks for the great posts about Nexxtech because I really didn't think that was the problem but now I am sure of it.
