I joined here to post some possibly helpful information to this thread:

It's too old for me to post to, so I'm making a new thread with the information. Read the other thread if it makes no sense.

I had the same problem and corrected it by uninstalling ffdshow and ac3filter. Not sure which was the culprit, but I suspect the direct show.
