I'm just wondering, at what compression rate should I split the movie into two discs? I split King Kong into two disc and got 100 percent compression from both discs. Just needed some friendly advice on when the compression rate starts to show on playback.

Consider using DVD Rebuilder and you won't need to split, even very high compression movies come out looking amazing. I have never split a movie before, but I suppose if I did, I would consider doing so with anything below 65% or so, this also taking into account I was not using DVD Rebuilder.
