'cause there's too many shady chinese sellers there and I've heard many horror stories about installs gone bad not to mention I've seen pictures of some bad installs... All I can say is, if you're gonna get it modded there make sure they test ever damn thing infront of you before you walk out the door (dvd backup,cd backup, originals, dvd9 etc... I think you get the picture). You might wanna watch out for them telling you they're installing one kind of mod and giving you clones

westar it seems as if your from toronto, so may i ask if i can have an instant message conversation about this topic. It will be very brief as i have to get my ps2 modded this weekend or i wont have a chance as my mother and i will be very busy with charity programs for the next month. Might i recomend an msn conversation, if you have an account ill give my msn If you dont have msn well thats a shame and i guess we'll have to talk here but anyway im changing my decision about pacific mall and im planning to go to a flea market in agincourt. I think there are 2 flea markets there so i dont know which one and i am going to check now..

Btw where did u get your ps2 modded?

ok dis is wierd, i called pacific mall an dey say they dont do modding and i called mega entertainment an thier number is missing...other than dragon game centre there is no where i can mod my ps2! help!!

I'm not just from toronto but I am from scarborough :) well, DGC is decent but, I had a bad experience with them and haven't really dealt with them since (long story I'd rather not get into). I got mine modded by someone that's in hamilton but, he's moved out to niagara falls now. If I had to choose between pacific mall and DGC I'd rather go for DGC. Sorry, can't talk to you over msn but you can pm me here if you like also, I'd remove the email addy if I were you as it is against forum rules not to mention there's bots that scan forums for email addies on the net to add to spam lists. The bottom line is make sure they test everything right infront of your eyes before you walk out the shop with your system.

im from scarborough too... ok i found a new light i found a guy that can do it for me but i only had a phone conversation with him. As i'm new to these things im also a child (about 15) that can be tricked very easilly in these situation. Since you look experienced i will need your assistance ;) in determining whether or not i should get my ps2 modded by this dude. I have his phone number (a 416 number) which you can talk to him. If your a really nice guy that can help a poor fellow like me then can you like check out if he knows what hes doing cause to tell you the truth... i dun understand what he said when i talked to him. All i picked up from him was "do you a know with number your playstation is???" me"ooo yeah im gonna check that sooner or later but can you tell me what mod chips you install" him-"if you don know your version number then i cannot help you".

but u said they do a bad job. its not about price its about quality right? Anyway if u want the number to talk to the guy (btw he said around 100 bux for installation) then ill post it up if its not against the forum rules.. And also just to add another note i have a v9 ps2 so what mod chips would i need to get for it?
