Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my ps2. When I turn on my ps2 with the memory card inserted the system boots up, but I don't get any audio or video on my tv. I hear the dvd rom drive spinning and the cooling fan is still working, just no audio or video. The system works great without the memory card inserted, and if I put in the memory card after the game is loaded the controllers stop responding. Anybody have any idea what's wrong?

I'm running a version 4 ps2 with a messiah 2 mod chip. The memory card is a nyko 8 meg. I'm going to go buy an official sony memory card as soon as possible and see if that makes any difference, but I don't see why it should. My guess is that something went wrong while installing the mod chip? I bought the ps2 used, and the previous owner had it installed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Perhaps the MC's connector is shorting something out?

I really don't know much about the mechanics of the PS2's mainboard but its possable?
