I have encoded many XviD's following the 'Copy your DVD to XviD with AC3 surround sound' tutorial. Not a problem, it's a great article.

I just encoded X-Men and the output is jerky, especially when the camera pans. It's a PAL DVD. Its an 1:40h movie and I encoded to one CD.

All the settings are according to the tutorial above.

All I can think of is the frame rate, where does 20fps come from, it was my understanding (limited) PAL should be 25fps.

Any ideas on why the XviD is jerky.

All other XviDs play fine on the machines I have viewed it on.
