I'm having problems with That's Write DVD and Pioneer DVR-03 drive. When I backup movies every now and then the playback will be jerky. Most of the backups will work OK, but 1/10 or 1/5 will be jerky especially in the beginning of the movie.
I'm using Smartripper for the ripping, DVD2ONE for shrinking and Nero for burning. Anything I'm doing wrong?
Ok, if you are using Smartripper, DVD2One, then Nero, where does this "That's Write" program come into play? I've personally never heard of it, and I use the other 3 programs to copy my DVD's. (Alright, I usually use DVDdecrypter to rip, but they are about the same.)
Tried it today with my friends player. Same thing. Playback jerky on the same DVD's as on my player. I have a Mivoc DVD-player (some clone, progressive scan). My friend has a basic Sony-player.
I think I'm going to try different brand. But that's the weirdest thing, because most of the backups work. It's just every 5th or so that has a small problem. And it's just in the beginning of the movie...
In my opinion it definitely sounds a media related problem.
Ritek G03 £0:88 each , can't go wrong.
I'm able to burn X2 using this disc although I don't bother for long movies...kept at X1 for extra reliabilty.Although if I was to burn a copy of a copy on-the-fly then X2 works 100%
of the time.
