I read this...

www.megagames.com/ps2/ps2swap/index.shtml - the 1-time one, and I thought, ok, but i want to keep me Guarentee.

So Heres the theory, the "Heavenly Solution":

1. Insert the original PS2 Utility Disk cd OR, Boot one of these games :

Drum Mania
Gradius 3 & 4
Iss Pro 2000 (demo)
Driving emotions Type-S
Ridge Racer 5
Street Fighter EX 3
Tekken Tag Tournament

(!MAKING SURE THE BACKUP HAS THE PATCH OF THE RIGHT GAME UP THERE!)

2. Look here

thats tells you what time you got. but at the bottom of the pic, DON'T DO IT. Instead, you have 5-10 seconds to use your slide card! slide to the left, pull out the drive and swap with the BACKUP with the CORRECT PATCH (LOOK ABOVE!) close the drive then, using the card, slide to the right to lock it in. and then your done! Your backups working, or, well i dunno if it works so, SOMEBODY TRY PLEASE!.

NGSpec

It's either a solution or not, don't complain, complain if this is your last resort!

It would be very bad to try this with a slide card since the disc is still spinning.

All of these so called no mod quick fixes are just a bunch of crap.
Sure some of them may work, but not only is that not what the discs you have were made for, but it is also a royal pain.
So why don't people just buy the correct equipment (Swap Magic & fliptop or a good modchip) and do it the right way.

People who do these often end up screwing up their PS2.

No, with a real swap disc, the disc stops spinning before you swap.
