Camcorder to DVD recording

Can anyone tell me how to record from my analog Sony Camcorder STRAIGHT to my Emerson EWR20V5 DVD without having to first transfer my video to VHS, then to DVD? The camcorder has 2 output jacks. 1 black for video output, 1 yellow for audio output. The VCR/DVD recorder has jacks front and back for input. I've plugged into every one of them and simply cannot get my video picture to appear on the TV screen or to record directly to the DVD. I do not see any switches on the VHS/DVD for AV-in or Aux-in, or any settings on the menu to accept video in.
I'll be the first to admit I'm techically challenged when it comes to this kind of thing, but I've been trying for 3 days to figure this out and it's starting to try my patience! Please help!!
