was up everyone i just wanted to now if anyone nows why my ps2 skips movies i just purchase a brand new movie and my ps2 reads it like it was sratch.i mean is skips for like 2seconds then it goes and it keeps do in it.i been having it for around 2years is the version 12 slim ps2.could anyone help me out.do i need laser fix if so were could i get it,hom mutch is it

i had the same problem with mine. Some movies would have glitches, i would lend them to a friend who played them on his DVD player and he would tell me they played just fine.
My solution was to spend a little money and buy a Lite-On stand alone DVD player to play my movies. I suppose it is not an uncommon as i have seen modchips (DMS4 Pro) that have released flashes for their chips that have fixes to help with this problem on slimline models.

If you have a mod installed in your ps2 turn it off then play the movies. If not I'd say go with steimy's suggestion of buying a stand alone dvd player (personal I wouldn't wanna use my ps2 as a dvd player and would rather have a stand alone)
