hi i have a ps2 slimline it used 2 work fine till now. when i put the power plug in 2 the ps2 the red light comes on. when i press the button 2 turn on the ps2 it go's green then a sec after that it go's red again. it wont load up at all. any one now the prob can any one help me plz u would be a great help!.

i had this after opening a slim ps2 power button just fell off soldered it back on and reassembled then every time it was turned on it went green then back to red found the plastic actuator was making permanent contact with switch,so using a craft knife trimmed plastic actuator very small amount at a time until no permanent contact was made on switch.If you have had it open open up again and see if light stays green with case open use some thing plastic to turn switch on.
