Spots on DYE after burning (even on verbs)!!!

Hi,

I got recently spots on tho dye of my dvd-r when the burn is finished. I tought i might have been a cheap disk prob, so i decided to try verbatims, now from the 3 dvd-r (verb) i burned, 2 give me spots, and one is a serious big one, 1cm.
My question, is this something harmfull for the data. I use cdspeed from nero to do a surface and file scan, i gives me 100% good.
Also when i compare my image to the DVD it gives me an exact copy of it 100% identical, is their reason to worry or not?
I know my PS2 is picky on media when those spots are on it, can it have any affect on the readebility of the disc?

I got the same results using a Universal DVD. I found out if I try to blow any dust that might of been on it off before burning, sometimes it could more dust which causes the spots after the burn. Now I just take the dvd out of the case and put it right into the burner without ever flipping it over to check it. It hasn't had a spotty burn yet.
