What is Freezone??

I recently bought a PSP (without freezone)

At the moment, it only plays region 4, Is it possible to download firmware from, lets say - Japan or USA, onto an Australian PSP??

What are effects, & should I have gotten PSP with Freezone.

well its too late now, freezone or region free psps arent that useful as long as you live in australia.
Most shops store region 4 umds anyway.
It depends what firmware your psp is? Most firmwares can only be upgraded so if your on the latest one then your stuck.

Oh well,

I just bought Auri Rahimzadehs book 'Hacking the PSP', so i'll have to have fun working my way through projects this way.
