HELP!!!!Ive Got a Apple xv2 chip on my x box. when installed evolution x everything was working fine untill i replaced the xbox bios with the evo x bios now my xbox is screwed. in normall mode an error message pops up telling me it needs service, and in mod mode it wont even load. so how do i restore my back ups on to the hdd?
get an auto installer disc like Slayer 2.6 or AID3.0
that is if you can load discs.
do you know the exact error message you get, does it give you a number like error 5?

Can you post some info on the Apple chip..I never heard of that one..
Error 5 is the drive is unlocked, That's why it won't boot the MS dash..Otherwise I need to know what can be done to repair the bios on the chip...post me a link to the site if you can..

And there is a server out at AD that is causing lots of timeouts and driving me mad!!!! It's constantly trying to load the ad's....I don't need that at 4.22 am..

NEW from XBOX SCENE..
Switch to the other bank and reflash via evoxdash. Flick the swicth to the corrupt bank just prior to the flash starting its erase cycle and the bad bank will be flashed.. You can follow the hotswap to flash for the duo in tema omega section as well. These chips are virtually the same but they come with the 1.6 bios on Bank 0 instead of bank 1.
If you just want to back up the contents of the drive for now then try this...It is unlocked afterall..

This will allow you to read the xbox drive in a pc
it's under harddrive tools at http://www.xbox-scene.com/tools-xbox360.php
1. Install your xbox drive in your pc
2. Install xplorer 360
3. Start xplorer 360 and select option at the top drive, and scroll down to the option open
4. select hardrive or memory card
5. on the left hand side it will list the xbox drive partitions
6. click on them to view contents of each partition
edit more info and tutorial for duox, they are virtually identical to this apple and this is supposed to work
