Hello, all. Hopefully I got this in the correct forum. It seemed like the most relevant one to post in. If not, I apologize.

Anyway, I had the memory card exploit for HD Loader installed on my memory card a few years ago and it worked fine up until recently. For some reason, it can usually take 15 to 20 tries to boot up the loader. Often times, the PS2 will hang and then go back to the browser screen, where I have to click the PS1 game I use to boot several times before the thing finally boots.

I don't think the problem is my laser or my disc because all games boot fine, and the disc itself boots without the PS2 memory card in. The discs also play fine and the same memory card used on my wife's PS2 boots in a snap.

I thought maybe it might be my memory card jacks themselves, but everything works fine when not trying to boot something from the mem card. This is a recent happening, as like I said, it has worked fine for a couple years now without a hitch. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, I have tried using a different memory card. All of them work fine, on my wife's PS2, but my PS2, I have to do it several times before any of them boot...It's just weird.
