Playing media file in windows media centre

So I was wondering. Right im using windows media centre on Toshiba Qosmio laptop which came with this DVD player on it that I did not like the picture was not as sharp as I wanted it to be so I uninstalled it and put Cyber Link Power DVD on it and I think it looks much better. So this is what I wanted to know when I play files I download from the new I use the DVD player to play them other then the windows media centre way which I am guessing uses windows media player is there any way to change it so that when I am using media centre it uses my Cyber Link Power DVD instead of using the windows media player.
