PLEASE HELP PS2 WONT POWER ON.

I opened my sons ps2 to try and fix memory card slot 1. didnt get it fixed to make along story short, but made more problems. when i replaced the cover and pluged in the power cord , the red light came on i thought all was good then when i pushed in the power button or reset what have you nothing happened. i think what i did when taking off the lid i broke one of those tiney little things that hold in the power button because when i looked one was on and the other was off. please someone help me.

If is the fat PS2> Check the silver ribbon that connects to the
power/eject buttons! Check to see if the is no hole in it! BECAREFUL
not to take it off> because is hard to plug back!

heh thats pretty rude of this kid to say that kind of stuff...i think a mod should handle this....its really inapropriate...isnt this forum made for helpin people with problems???? "no one wants to listen to u..get a life lady" doesnt seem like such great help
