Whats the best software foor converting Mpeg to DVD.

I have a 2.5 gig mpeg of lord of the rings and i want to put it on dvd, when i use DVD FACTORY it wants a 7.9gig dvdr which i dont have. I was going to burn the dvd files to my harddrive and then use dvd2one to put it on a 4.7gig dvdr but the process looks like it could take forevr, also it says it needs 15gig space on my c:/ drive which i dont have. I have about 15gig on another harddrive but when i tell dvdfactory to put the files there it still says "not enough room on C:/ drive, are u sure u want to continue?"

Is there any other software that would speed up this whole process. I have access to most dvd software.
