What is the fastest burn method for burning various video files (AVI, WMV, MPEG, DivX/AVI and so forth formats)? Typically I just use Nero Vision Express 3 in the Nero 6 Ultra pack, but it takes SOOO long having to trans code the video files then let it burn.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

You want to know the fastest burn method or the fastest way of converting?

I'm going to go with your title even though I know that isn't what you meant.
Fastest burn method is CLV, but that isn't possible at say 16X for DVD, so that leaves CAV. Don't think anyone is using Z-CLV anymore though and you can't change what your burner does.

For the conversion question. I think CCE is still about the fastest MPEG-2 encoder out there.

Well I have ImTOO MPEG Encoder which is pretty fast except when converting to .VOB files.

Well my title is what I want. I want the fastest way to go from media on my hard drive to getting it burnt on to a DVD that will work on home DVD players.

Will the conversion to MPEG 2 be faster when burned as compared to say a AVI file? It seems the conversion will just take longer and be more of a pain. Reason I say this is when using Nero Vision Express, it is easier to let Nero transcode the videos rather then convert the files over to say .VOB and then have to then drag and drop the .VOB files over to Nero Vision.

In WinAVI Video converter a powerful AV compress engine can complete a whole AVI movie conversion and burn it to DVD just in 1 hour. You can enjoy the film with your home & PC DVD Player. It can supports other formats too.You will like it.
