Problem installing Win-TV PVR-150 Remote

I spent nearly 6 hrs yesterday trying to install and get the PVR-150 working on my system, a Compaq Presario P4 2.0ghz 1gb ram, Windows Xp HOme, 100gb hd. Everything seemed to be installing good until I get to the remote control install. I get the message "Failed to initialize infrared remote hardware". And yes, I made sure the receiver is plugged into the card and seated firmly. I even updated everything with the latest drivers from the website. Still no communication between the remote control and the receiver. This is very frustrating and Hauppauge has the worst customer support. Very comparable to Nero. They don't give a damn about their end users.

Minion, I'm sure you have heard of this situation recently and in the past. Do you have a forum or other location that can walk me through this problem? I am about to give up and return this card back to CC. Thanks for your help and hopefully this thread will benefit others in my same boat.
